Writer Pete Ottesen has completed the first book ever to chronicle the seventy-year legacy of the Grassland Water District. The book covers the District’s formation and early years and its trials, tribulations, and triumphs from its beginnings to the present.  A limited number of copies are available for purchase, and preordered copies are at the Grassland Water District, 200 W. Willmott Avenue, Los Banos, CA, waiting to be picked up. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards.  If you would like to mail your payment or pay by phone, we can ship you your book(s) at an additional cost. All proceeds go to Grassland Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conservation, education, and the legal defense of the Grassland Wetlands of Merced County.
